As the Acquisition Lead focusing on contracting at the IT Modernization Centers of Excellence, Michelle developed the procurement strategies that support agency partners and their modernization efforts. Formerly a warranted Contracting Officer, Michelle has 10+ years of experience in the Federal Government and is responsible to ensure procurement packages are compliant with the Federal Acquisition Regulations but also innovative in their acquisition approach. Prior to joining CoE, Michelle was the Director of Acquisitions at the Office of Products and Programs, the CO at 18F Office of Acquisitions that awarded the first civilian agency bug bounty program, and spent time working as an acquisition subject matter expert at the Public Buildings Service in GSA and the U.S. Coast Guard.
